Why support our Building Project?

We exists to see people transformed into fully-devoted followers of Jesus Christ.

Why support our Building Project

Trinity Bible Church has been a part of the Bow Valley community for over 35 years. During that time we've served and cared for the spiritual well-being of hundreds of families though small groups, bible studies, community building events as well as our regular weekend services

As we continue to grow, we kept running the issue of not having enough space. We were able to temporarily accommodate the growth by having multiple services, but even then we were running near capacity for both our services and our kids' programs that take place during the services.

Our new facility has significantly more space in our sanctuary, as well as much more classroom space for our kids and youth ministry. The new site will also give us many opportunities to host both indoor and outdoor events.

Other ways we're involved in the Bow Valley

Some ways that we have been or currently are involved in the community are (virtually everything we do is open to the public and publicly advertised):

1. Hosting seminars and workshops:

  • Griefshare and Surviving the Holidays
  • Marriage for Life
  • Parenting: Navigating Everything
  • For 20 years, we’ve hosted a Community Ladies' Christmas Gathering
  • Hosting a Community Christmas Eve Service up at Silvertip
  • Had a Friday Morning “Mom’s and Babies” program
  • Hosting a summer kids week sports day camp in August (into its third year)
  • Hosted “Skier’s Church” at Sunshine Village ( open to the public & included opportunities for ski hill staff spiritual care)
  • We have an active Youth group we launched in November 2023. Our church plans have a good-sized space for a youth room.

2. We partner with and support:

  • Food and Friends (Volunteers and Financial)
  • Crossway Thrift Store (in the past)
  • ~10% of our annual budget goes towards local and international groups, including:
  • Youth Unlimited in the Bow Valley.
  • Steve Sellers, with Athlete’s in Action, who works with elite athletes and is the chaplain for the Canmore Eagles.
  • Cochrane Pregnancy Care Centre's "Baby Bottle Boomerang" Campaign
  • Additional Benevolent fund giving each year that goes towards local community support (i.e. food and friends, MTN. Fire foods, Homelessness Society of the Bow Valley, donating gas and grocery gift cards, and many other financial needs we become aware)
  • We have also participated each year in Canmore’s Safe Park Program
  • We have participated in both “The Coldest Night of the Year” events and both times were the largest team and second-largest fundraiser
  • We helped resettle a Ukrainian family of 8 in the last year.

We're looking forward to all the ways that a new, larger and purpose built facility will allow us to continue to meet the needs of the Bow Valley.
