Canmore Food and Friends has made the decision to take a short break from serving up meals to the community. They have been having some difficulty getting enough volunteers to keep things running smoothly in the midst of Covid, vacations and other commitments. They will be suspending service until early September but are working on a new platform for volunteers to see what available shifts and duties need to be filled on Sundays and Mondays. Their Head Chef Marty had a chat with Rocky Mountain Outlook about the challenges they face with available volunteers over the summer months, but also about their mission, the history of Canmore Food and Friends and when they may be able to return to in person dining.
